Founded by the merchant, Robert CARO as “SPEZIALBRONZE GMBH“ in Berlin. Later at the Carowerk in Vienna, Mr. Georg Bühler developed a process which made it possible to efficiently manufacture pre-materials through cold forming for different slide bearing materials in the form of thin-walled bronze tubes, which achieved the highest level of uniformity and homogeneity. Building on this process enabled the manufacture of "Carobronze", which is still unsurpassed today as a material for slide bearings in the high-performance sectors and which represents a significant mainstay of the company |
